let a friend ride it and they kinda blew it up... The dealership took it back and rebuilt it for free. I didnt have a warranty, but since I had just bought it they offered to do it, so I let them. And thanks, its in Quincy. Im hoping to get over there by the 28th. But we shall see.

Did you paint the Bushwacker Flares? Thinking about getting them but dont know how they will match a black taco unpainted.. Thanks..

no I didnt, But I kinda wish I would have at least bed lined them.. they rear ones have started fading a little. Not much, but enough for me to notice.

 

buy a bottle of meguires trim restore polish, I use it on on the black plastic like the door handles and stuff. works great, brings back that deep black color.

 

I did it worked rly good on everything.... except the flares lol

 

I say you auto cross the honda. That's what I'd do if I had one of those lol

yeah, Im just going to leave them for now. trying to find a good way to repaint my fender bolts too.. the powder coat is fading. so I need to find something that wont fade so easily. Or they will go black. which I really don't want to do, but the faded pink looks like crap..

 

Holly crap wish all i had to deal with was fadding paint..

 

lol ya... Ive dealt with enough with this truck. Im glad thats all I have to worry about right now. I need a break from spending money on it.

I would say start buying things for it now and get a little at a time. I like the idea of 1 ton axles, not that you will ever need the weight capacity of them, but when turning 42" of wheel, it will definitely hold up better. Will you be getting double beadlock wheels? As long as you are dumping the money in, might as well get some air lockers on the diffs. Don't forget to add more power to the motor, like a supercharger or even turbo. A small turbo would do decent to give a bit more push without overdoing it, although I have only heard about super chargers on Tacos.

I have been thinking of SAS as my one day project, 3 linked and coils all around. Screw the stupid leaf springs. Read some other peoples SAS builds and with all the parts they had to buy, it came to $8-9k. Those were also first gens.

 

LOL sas has already started My arb 4.88 gears are sold pending funds and ive ordered some of my parts already have the axles just need to finnish putting my HP60 together and build a new front cover for it.

Also im already super charged with fuel and exhaust mods. Dyno says it's 380 ponies at the crank..

Don't need top of the line. Just good enough. How hard is it to make these things fit behind the seats?
