Hi there Everyone, I come to you all in hopes I could get some answers for my questions about lifts.

Here is my Truck right now:

    Aint she perty ;)

    Anywayssss

    Question 1:

I need to know what size lift I should get. It currently has 265/70r17 Nitto Trail Grapplers. I don't want to go with a 6 inch since I JUST bought the new tires and don't want to spend another $1600 on tires when mine have less than 2000 miles on them. That being said, What size lift would you reccomend?

    Question 2:
The place I took my truck to suggested a 3 inch kit, my question is: will you even be able to notice there is a lift on it? or is it just a waste of my money and I should go to a 4.5?

    Thank y'all in advance!!

    -Cameron

It is really a personal preference thing. I like the 3" lifts, they look like a truck should to me, beefy but not huge and not obviously lifted to everyone. Taller than that and it's a pretty big lift that's going to need big tires to fill that wheel well.
Do a search or two and see which height of lift does it for you.

dOh! PreRunner. Go with the spindles then. I'd still stay away from blocks and get a leaf pack as suggested above.

I love my 4" maxtrac spindles. That would be my suggestion.

Do you have any current pictures of your truck with this lift? I'm running the same lift on a access cab and I'm sitting way high in the rear... just looking for comparison.

You can always sell the tires and wheels you have on it now, do what you think will look good, I absolutely love my 6" ProComp lift with 35's and always get asked about it. It rides better than all of my friends stock trucks, and since you wont do any serious wheeling you dont need Alcans or anything serious, but consider the ProComp lift!

    K & N filter, 275 70 17 Cooper AT3, OME Nitrocharger shocks, 884 Springs, Dakar leafs.
I have a 2 1/2" OME lift, nitrochager shocks, 884 springs and full Dakar leafs.
Old man emu is a great lift, handling and ride are great. I would replace the rear springs the ride and hauling will be much better...
    885s give 3" the leafs give 2 1/2 to 3"...

Did the 884 coils give you the 2 1/2 inches or did you add a spacer? I have been trying to find out exactly how much lift the 884 gives a DCSB because I always read to go with the 885 on a DC. I would like to stay closer to 2 inches than 3 if I can. Thanks

3" full OME here and absolutely LOVE it. Hoping to get some 285's soon to replace the stock rugged fails.

It all depends on what you use the truck for. I tow boats, haul dirt bikes, street bike, jet skis, friends trailers etc a lot. I have 3" up front and about 3-3.25" in the read running Dakars with the d29 leaf. Went AAL at first in the rear to save some money but that was a mistake; live and you learn. Do it once, do it right the first time.

EDIT: Don't forget to look into new UCA's once you start nearing 2.5"+ of lift.
