I am new to Tacoworld.and located in Hampton Va I just got a 98 Tacom Sr5 thats been sitting since 09. I plan on putting it back on the road but will not be doing it myself.I figure someone has been down this road, and can offer me some help on where to find parts or maybe some member knows a local shop/person who can do the do the body / mechanicl work. I will not know if the engine is damaged until its apart. Below are pics anyone interested or have any leads for parts please reply or call 757 506 8351

I have OEM corner lights and turn signals.

They should fit the 5 lugs.

I know those are just cosmetic pieces and a small component to your dilemma, but let me know if you want to buy them.

That looks like frame damage + cosmetic damage. I'd address the frame and function first and chase fenders later. Unless the wreck penetrated past the radiator there is no reason to take the engine apart to check for damage. As long as its clear drop a running garden hose into the radiator hose and see if it runs correctly. If the engine is toast for some reason, and the frame is a mess, and you need a new front end... you're probably money ahead parting it out and buying a new truck. Early first gen's are *relatively* cheap.

Its been sitting since 09 The radiator is pushed in to the point where its touching the fan assembly Is it ok to just turn it over anyway. Also you say if I need a new front end what parts are you meaning looks like I will need a radiator support ?

^You'll want to remove the radiator then. Jerry-rig the radiator hoses together. Will also need to jerry-rig the transmission fluid hoses together.

From the photos, you'll need a replacement right fender, radiator support, and grille. The inner right fender apron may need rack time at a professional collision shop to be pulled straight (or zipped off and a replacement apron welded in). Frame may be OK but will require inspection up close - can't be diagnosed over the internet. Did the truck rear-end a taller vehicle?

Try rockauto.com. they're typically cheaper than most places. And Pick N Pull on Sykes Ave in VA Beach might have one in there you can snatch parts from.

Unfortunately I don't know anyone around here for bodywork. I always do my own half-ass body work. 15 yard chain snatch, lol

The core support is only $90 buck, each radiator is around a $100. Fenders can be picked up for around $70.

Are the frame noses still straight? If they are, its very likely that you will not need any frame work.

    Please post some more pics.

I've put together many Tacoma wrecks over the years. Presently I'm rebuilding an '04 that was much worse off than yours.

If you have even a slight desire to do the work yourself, you should try it. It's not that hard, just time consuming. take lots of pics as you go. I find it fun and relaxing.
