Honestly, I don't think it matters? Maybe someone with the exact answer will chime in.

I found an old link where Chris4x4 mentioned the front coils being side specific and colors are mentioned but not the colors I have here.

shouldnt of taken them off both at the same time. (assuming you didnt buy them unassembled)

I have an offroad and got these sport coils from another member. Side by side before assembling them, the purple/orange appeared to be just slightly longer, but it was very close.

I used the search function on TW to look up COLOR CODE COILS, and couldn't find the color code for my 05. I was just curious to see if they matched up with what I had, but never found a match.

Thats as much research as I've done with it. I've read on here that there are differerent color codes for different model years, and probably differ between packages as well. They may also differ as to where they were assembled, but I dont know.

Don't put them on without confirming which is the drivers side as they are not identical. The two coils also have different part #'s. I've read here that the drivers side is slightly longer than the passenger side. If you get them switched it will lean. Whether there is a visual difference in length or the spring rate is just stiffer, I dont know. Hopefully someone who knows for sure will chime in.

So you already have them on? If so how's it sitting with regards to side to side lean??

Longer one always goes on the driver side to help with the lean from the gas tank

They are assembled but not on the truck yet. It's truly a mystery. the yellow/yellow seems to have a slightly tighter coil (less space between winds) but the purple/orange seemed a tad longer.

The coil with two coils marked the same color is the drivers side in my experience twice and I have the read the same on TW. My Sport and my wife's 4runner both had an additional coil on the drivers side, IE: 5 coils on passenger and 6 on drivers. When you have two identical appearance coils one is still a higher rate that the other. If you have them on a 5100 from the stock to 1st notch the coils will actually spin on the lighter passenger coil but the stiffer drivers coil will not spin. Grab the CO by the coil and the rod end and see if you can spin the coil the one that you can't spin or twist has more pre load = driver side...hope that helps

    Good point, Evenflow.
Mine are Grey-Grey on the Drivers side..
and Green-Blue/Grey on the Passenger side.

If we get some more to confirm the drivers side coils are all marked with the same color then we might have an answer.

I guess it's not a big deal to throw them on and check for excessive lean. I'll try the yellow/yellow on the driver side first. It's tough to say since there's also lots of info about people with two different colors on both sides. Has anyone ever contacted a dealer to see if they have some sort of chart or knowledge of this? I would guess that techs have to have some sort of knowledge about it, although there doesn't seem to be much knowledge with dealer techs to begin with.

My 20134 had yellow/yellow on driver side. I noticed when I installed my billies.

and if you use the method of using the LCA and trucks weight you can have the spring in and out in about 15 min.

Do OR coils sit higher than sport coils? I set the 5100's at 1.75" with sport coils and put the yellow/yellow on the driver side and it's only sitting about 1/4" higher now on the driver side than the stock OR coil on the passenger side. All it really did was fix the Taco lean. Will lifting one side affect the other since the sway bar is attached? If so, that could be why.
