I had a Scangauge II briefly and I was not very impressed with it. Sure it worked as intended, but had very limited screen size and wasn't that useful to me for the price.

Then I tried a unit from Innova which has the ability to display "live" data from the OBD II port. Very useful information from a diagnostic standpoint with all of the emissions information, but no transmission coolant temperature.

Does anyone know if the ELM 327 WIFI version can read the transmission coolant temperatures in the 01-04 automatic 1st gens? I know some of you have the Bluetooth version and use Torque.

I plan to use my iPhone and whatever app will display the temp or just writing my own to monitor the temp and a few other items off the port.

Here's a write up on how to do just that with your iPhone:
