Rage is a great shop and the only one I go to. All the guys are super chill and they always have a ton of parts in stock, rather than always having to order.

That said, also check the classified section on pinkbike.com. There's usually some great deals on there.

For our terrain, I'd recommend a full squish, with 5 to 6 inches of travel. Something like that would allow you to ride pretty much anything in the state without beating the hell out of you. Hard tails are great, and certainly serve their purpose but I personally ride more aggressive trails, therefore my current fleet consists of a 6 inch carbon trail bike and an 8 inch DH bike.

The next thing to consider is the great wheel size debate.. 26, 27.5 or 29.. IMO, 26 or 27.5 are the best way to go. 29 is just a little tall for my taste, but then again, they certainly have their following.

I guess what it comes down to is budget. What you want to or can spend will determine what you can get. And like others have said, try to demo some bikes to see what you like.

Long night for my sisters french bulldog but he is alive, he got into my bag and ate 23 800mg ibuprofen rushed him to the vet and luckily he made it through the night. Still monitoring him but might be able to come home today

 

God damn... Why do dogs always eat the worst things possible?

My English Shepard had issues eating rocks as a puppy. One got lodged into his intestine and almost needed emergency surgery. After the vet filled him with fluids, he luckily passed it the next day.

Dogs can be stupid.

 

Glad we are on the same page.

 

Its not his fault, they don't know these things will hurt them. Its up to humans to keep them out of harms way, that was 100% our fault

Any tips before I attempt to change out my coolant?

 

Keep the engine running while you do it.

 

Leave the cap on and sealed, place bucket/pan under (preferably raised up to be close to the radiator), remove drain plug, then remove cap. Coolant may dribble out at first, then gush out when cap is removed (holds vacuum on system).

Drain and fill or flushing?

 

I plan on draining it, then putting in distilled water letting it run and drain after that. Add the new coolant.

 

Pay a professional to do it...

 

So I only got like a gallon out and in. I also ran it with water a couple times to clean it more and it worked.

 

Anyone know of a reputable mechanic in Glendale? I am looking for someone close to my new place (by Honeywell). Thanks!
