While in the process of replacing the very front U joint (closest to the tranny) it the new u joint jammed up and we ended up breaking a piece off of the cast steel holder than attaches to the output shaft of the transmission. SO, now i have a ****** up driveshaft all together. I need someone to point me in the right direction of what the actual name of this piece is and where i can purchase it. To be more specific, I attached a picture of the piece I'm referring to, in this picture the guy calls it a "U-Joint Carrier".

    Thanks !!

x2 ^ I would try your local parts stores and maybe even a wrecking yard. It may only be a dealer item.

I've been steadily searching and i found that the technical name for the part is a "Flange Yoke" and its a SPICER Part #5001905. Now my problem is finding it.. Anyone know of a massive parts warehouse of should I just make a trip to the dealer?

You should be able to find one fairly easy. Probably even NAPA if you have one. They are generally pretty cheap too. Less than $50 I bet
