    What tires are on the '07? Did you do gears to pull?

    I just did 4.10s and ARBs in my '06 with 6-speed to pull my camper! With 285s I'm running 2800rpms at 77-78mph!

    Pop-up with 36gals of h2o and gear weigh just under 4000lbs. I averaged 11.8mpgs over 450miles on the highway at that speed!

    I really need to update my build-thread!:eek:

    I have 275/70r17's, stock gears. I am planning to regear this winter. I am also doing a 4wd conversion, and am still debating what size tire and gear ratio I need/want to run and be able to tow well. Im considering 285/75r17 (34") with 4.56 gears. It won't be a hardcore wheeler.

    Need some help and figure this is the best thread to ask. So I'm deploying and my parents were going to tow the truck back home from NM to FL. Uhaul said that I can't use vehicle dually cuz the Tacoma weighs to much. And I don't want to pay $600 for a toy hauler. Any other way to tow. My dad drives a 2000 ford excursion

    I fixed it. I'm trying to get my truck back to Florida without paying $600 for a toy hauler trailer

    If they are driving out there, they could rent the trailer here locally and tow it out there empty and back with the Taco on it... A little risky but then you are only paying the daily rate since you are returning it the same place it was picked up.
