Bilstein 5100s put on all 4 corners

    Rear Fabtech 1-1/2 inch AAL

For people who may have any concerns, I do mostly daily driving, with off roading every once in a while. I haven't off roadbed with the new set up yet so I can't answer any questions there about rubbing but I can give you my perspective on them for the driving I've done so far.

I live in a town with crappy and bumpy streets, and shopping centers with steep incline entries, and I don't rub the tires. The only time it's rubbed, and it's only been a couple times is when I'm reversing at full crank. Other than that I don't rub at all. Also people complain about the preloading stock shocks with the 5100s and seeing my OR already had a stiffer more "truck" like ride, I didn't mind the change at all. Yeah it's stiffer in some cases, but some others it's definitely softer. Will I change the shocks to the 885's or elbachs? No cause I'm happy with it!

Any other questions you have let me know, otherwise here are a before and after photo!

Thanks! I absolutely love the lift & rims/tires

Not that i know of, but my family has had aftermarket rims and tires on most of our vehicles and never had an issue with them rotating unevenly

and toyota & XD said the 6 bolt pattern with the tapered bolts will automatically center the aftermarket wheel on the hub

They fit fine with the bilstein lift, BUT I had to do a personal mod to the inner fender liner so it doesn't rub. If you check my build thread, or the comment right before yours, it shows how to move the inner liner back so it doesn't get in the way. I've had it like that for 13k miles and not a single issue, did a buddies 4Runner and he loves the fix.

Cleared without an issue, and they're balanced like stock tires. I travel the i17 (75mph speed limit, usually drive 80-82) and have no issue at all. I've had it above 90 and still smooth

man, this is pretty much the exact setup i am wanting to go with. except i was wanting to do 17's instead of 16's. glad i seen a same year model with it. looks good man. did you have any alignment problems going 2.5 on it. thats my big concern, because i really dont wanna buy new UCA's

    You'll be fine then, I have 285/75/16's

Make sure you look at the 17's vs the 16'd, totally different look. They seem to flatten out and not have the depth to the look. I've seen jeeps with 17's and 18's and they have a totally different look

Alignment wasn't an issue, as I was saying, I drive 70+ and 80ish a lot, can let go of the wheel and the truck just floats straight without any vibrations or pull. I was really worried about the set up as well, haven't looked back.

I also took off my sway bar too, again that's personal choice of reducing safety and adding body roll, but I love it on and off road

Yeah stock springs with the 5100's, so the springs have to be preloaded to give you the lift, and make it a little stiffer, so I took the sway bar off to make it awesome haha

    Someday...
I like. Nice. BTW- I've heard AALs make the ride harsh in the rear. Would a full leaf spring pack change out be an option that would work?

Honestly it's based on your wallet, I have plans of getting a new pack in the back for a smoother ride, but the AAL is a cheaper option. i haven't searched them individually to know too much though
