Road trip bug protection question???

    I've seen a few guys driving hi end corvettes from dealer ship to dealership. They used the blue painters tape to protect the nose on them. I seen one place online can't remember where but they are making it in different colors so it isn't as goofy looking.

    As other mentioned wax before trip but, also I would carry some bug and tar remover with you. I also carry a quick detailer spray on every road trip for bugs and bird bombs.

    If you do a quick Google search alot of.people that did used painters tape had a tough time getting the tape residue off, more so then the bugs

    I just tried the dryer sheets to clean the bug ridden bumper and windshield... All I have to say is WOW!!! In about 30 seconds... The front of the truck was bug free--- and in another 30 seconds the windshield was spotless with very little effort. I have tried using bug and tar remover in the past with results nowhere near this. I will keep a ziplock of dryer sheets in the truck from now on. Thanks for the suggestion.
