So, My baby is slowly getting old, we hit 113k miles the other day. It seems as my truck gets older more and more things go wrong (imagine that :roll eyes:). I now have a rattle in the front drivers side corner of my truck. I cannot tell if its in the engine compartment or behind the dash. sounds like something loose. Anything common to start rattling in the area? almost sound like its in the very far drivers side corner of the dash near the windshield just under the dash.

don't think its the steering shaft. sound more of like a loose rattle in the dash up high. does rattle more often on back country roads but that is to be expected due to more vibrations.

My 08 is doing the same thing. Sounds like the base of the windshield or top of the dash to me too. Only does it on uneven or dirt/gravel roads. I'll find & fix it some day.

On my 2000 the dash was actually rattling against the windshield, don't know why or how, but It. ended up with a whole bunch of folded receipts to dampen it and it worked hahaha!! Had your windshield been replaced? Aftermarket gasket could move the windshield closer to the dash, one of a dozen possibilities. My 2011 doesn't have any rattles so far, but my 2009 had one at the computer under the pass kick board (unrelated I know)
