I guess I've got to start this very soon....
I'm at 1.75 up front with Eibach coils. What a nice ride in comparison to stock trd.

Search around and you'll find some threads. Look in the Suspension forum too.

Important note on 4-leaf trucks when installing 3-leaf Progressive AAL's (Icon & Wheeler's). You will have to cut and grind away one of the factory leaf pack clamps on each side for installation. I used an angle grinder with both the grinder wheel and cutting disks. I was able to remove them with having to unbolt the whole leaf pack from the truck.

I removed my factory overload spring when I installed mine. Other people keep it. That's up to you.

What kind of lift did you achieve with the settings at 1.75? What size tires you running??

I got right at 1.75 in of lift... Stock size for now but plan on going to 265/75/16 come winter.

I would recommend the wheelers single leaf 2 in aal. Its what I run (with stock overload) on my drive line vibration tsb 4 leaf pack and its great. The right amount of stiffness and extra load handling that I was going for. Its also the perfect length to not interfere with anything as well.

Headstrong set me up and they suggested not to go over 1.75 unless you're planing to change coils and UCAs. Just saying... I went with 1.75 and Eibachs.

I have a question hopefully someone can answer. I have a 06 DCLB 4x4 sport. stock bilsteins, stock coil, and a leveling spacer that is 1.25" thick. I picked up a set of Bilstein 5100's and was wondering what setting I would have to put it at to get the same height as what I have now. As of right now, I will be using the stock springs till I can upgrade the springs. Any responses would be helpful.

Well any one can correct me if im wrong (and im sure they will) but im pretty sure the general rule of thumb is a spacer will give you roughly double the lift as it is thick so if that is true you should be around 2.5" higher than stock. One sure way of telling this is measuring from the center of the hub to your fender. If its up 2.5" you should be around 22.5" from center of hub to fender. So there for you would need to set your 5100's at their highest setting 2.5, if thats the case. A lot of people will tell you not to set them at their highest because is makes for a harsh ride my guess is it wont be any worse than with your spacers. It is what the 5100's are designed to do. Just trying to help! Maybe some one with 1.25 spacers will see this, i have never ran spacers.

I set my Bilsteins up at .85 in the front with upgraded Eibach coils(1/4" spacer for driver side lean), with an 1.5" AAL in the rear. So this set up brought me up 2.5" in the front from stock and 1.5" in the rear which lifted and leveled the truck out. ytaregar_343b50651667e029474adde653ec5ca9212a9d41.jpg

I know this wasn't your exact answer but I hope this at least helps. If you want to go higher it's suggested to go with new UCAs.

Great advice, although the spacers won't affect the ride, new Bilstiens set at 2.5" will definitely be a harsh ride in comparison. With upgraded coils and the Bilsteins set .85" you will have a nice ride and a lift of 2.5" with no spacers.

I have not ran coil spacers on a Tacoma but i have on previous full size trucks with IFS, also I have driven a Tacoma with a spacer lift. They will with out a doubt affect the ride. They just shorten the distance your coil spring has to compress, which is never good.

Grizz, What Mademan said. I have 5100,s @ 2" (1.85) in front. 5100"s with a Toytec progressive 3 leaf AAL in rear. I removed the overload bar and that gave me 1.5" in the rear. I still have a little rake. Don't mind it because we tow a boat & quads. The ride is awesome. I got a little bit of lift with out going crazy. Looks good, rides great!

Other than cost, what would be the advantages and disadvantages of each of these options?

With after market coils like the OME 884's or 885's you can run the 5100's at the 0 setting and still get the lift your after. Roughly 2" with 884 and 2.5" with 885"s. Basically they won't be pre loaded and your stock springs would be. The more you pre load a spring the harsher the ride. But there again the 5100's were designed to be used with stock coils, some don't have a problem with the ride others do. Buy the 5100's try them with your stock coils, if you thinks it's to rough but you a set of coils later on.

I plan on doing 1.75" with the bilsteins with AAL in the back.

Will I get a petfect alignment with stock UCAs?

Well that's a great question, and I'm sure you'll get a lot of answers. My opinion, once you change those factory angles it can't be exactly "perfect" unless you throw more money at it but at 1.75 you will be just fine and be well with in spec. I run 885x springs, it gave my truck 2.5"s of lift. I got my alignment in spec, the truck drives and handles just fine. Really can't tell much difference than stock. Every ones results are just a bit different. Hope that helps.

What about tire wear? Would I be decreasing the life of my tires by sticking with stock UCAs instead of buying and installing LR UCAs?

I seriously doubt you will notice any out of the ordinary tire wear at just 1.75. There are a ton of guys running that setup and I have read very little about tire wear. Like I said I'm at 2.5" with stock uca's running BFG AT KO's, they have a real sharp out side edge and I haven't seen any thing out of the ordinary. Main thing is keep them rotated, I rotate every 5k
