    2012 tacoma v6 4.0 with 25k miles

wouldnt start this morning. Just clicks a lot when the key turns to the start position.

Almost seems like the starter isn't catching. Any advise?

I know it sounds obvious but give the battery terminals a good cleaning. It might not look that bad but has been the culprit on many vehicles.
Also check and make sure both connections on the starter are solid.

Any chance an accessory was left plugged in or a light was left on?

Dead battery, bad battery, or loose/corroded connection. The battery may be dead because you left something plugged in and drained it, or it also could be a bad alternator not charging the batt (you would have had an idiot light for the last couple hundred miles though).

no idiot lights, so that throws out the alternator. I don't think anything was plugged in. Only things different from the factory is the ultra gauge and lifetime LED headlights, but ive been using those for 6+ months. If it doesn't start when I get home, I'll try and jump it and see what happens.

    Yup.

My stock battery died unexpectedly last week at 41,000 miles (35 months). No warning signs or anything. Parked the truck, then came back two hours later to leave and it was dead.

Terminals were showing lots of acid/corrosion.

It should be under the 3/36. It has been for others...

It was a bad battery. It fell under the 3 year warranty. Replaced for free at the dealership.
