Has anyone thought of or ever created retrofitted tail lights. Can't be much harder than the headlights. Gotta make a clear lens though. I have IPCW tails so they have a clear lens. Shall I lead the way with retrofit tail lights? Maybe there will be a market for this?

Why? So much easier to just wire in reverse lights or whatever if you need extra lighting that bad. Seems like a lot of wasted money.

I would think BLTM. I don't think they need near the light output/aligning that headlights do, but I have wondered about a solution for blacked out trucks. There aren't a lot of options if you are blacking out.

Should have specified. More like having BTLM and retrofitting red halos and xB strips to come up with some funky design. All LED not projectors or HID's.

Headlight are a lot easier to do. Since they are held together by silicone vs harden glue for the tail lights. This have to be cut out and jb weld back together, without having any leaks

Good to know. Are all/most tail lights held together with glue? I have the IPCW led tails so they may be different.:notsure:

Might make a project out of this if I can find the right parts. If Andrew is reading this, would the xB strips work with different intensity of light? (Tail and brake or tail and turn on the same strip?)

Yes but it must be with a pwm or other controller. Check out vettesthetics on Instagram for a xB halo tail light retro

So that being said, are they super hard to get apart or just impossible without breaking something.

That corvette looks good. The halos work well with it considering the tail lights are already round.
I am thinking about xB strips and get a mustang tail light sequencer so they blink outward. So 6 strips on each side in a vertical way hooked up to the sequencer may be the best look and easiest to do.

It has to be cut open. Then glued back together. Look up some of these fog light retros. It's basically the same material. They use jbweld to glue it back together. I would also put some tyoe of weather calk ontop of the glue to make sure its sealed
