I’d know what you will need to register the truck talk to taylor or weston. some counties are different across the state.

We cut down a old water tank brought it home on a trailer and then started reconstructing it, we are using a gazebo as the platform

 

Also why we were on that trail I had a freak out moment because I thought I broke something from metal clicking together. It took me a minute to realize my shackles were swinging and hitting the front bumper

Yea but I'm registering it in Portland first, my buddy lives there and I don't feel like giving MD $161 to renew my tags for less then a year (move date)

 

Tested my photo skills last night in a lightning storm.

 

Take a roll of electrical tape and wrap one line several layers thick in that one spot to prevent the clicking.

 

Could you plasti dip them?

unless you put a bunch on i don’t think it will help much. i have sprayed stuff with it before and there is still a sound.

I think he painted them or they came painted they are not raw metal they are black. I think the back ones are also hitting some, maybe not as bad as the front. I heard them a few times and saw them swinging around some. wire tape or the rubber isolators would stop it all together.


also adam take a wire tie and tie the pin to them so they don’t work them self loos again and they will still be loose and easy to get off when you need one.(well you will have to cut the wire tie, may also deter someone from steeling them if they don’t have something to cut the wire tie with.

 

Get a big piece of rubber heat shrink and put it over it take a lighter to it and it will look like it's meant to be there. And zip ties work better than tie wire

 

zip tie.. wire tie..... pretty much the same thing, they have the same uses’s.... Either one world work. All it’s doing it keeping the shackle pin from working it self loose and possibly falling out going down the road. also on the plus side it will HELP keep someone from steeling them. They would have to have a knife or wire cutters on them.

edit: heat shrink is a great idea! could maybe call sea ray or find a boating place that dose heat shrinking on boats and see if they have any scrap pieces.

( i say sea ray just because they have a plant in knoxville.)
