    lol.
waypoints are more than enough for me. msot of the stuff i film/photograph is moving anyway, so i need to be in control to follow it and then get the different angles as i follow it.

what kind of flight time were you getting with 10,000 mah of 6s?
my new setup will take 3s and 4s. depending on the battery configuration i use with batteries i already have, i can get 8800 mah of 3s for lightweight runs, or i can get 11,000 mah of 4s. i need to get a few more batteries regardless. just figuring out what i should go with.

Never tested for endurance... but was expecting 15mins easy with payload. I eventually got 2x10000mah 4s packs to run in parallel but never had the opportunity to fly it with those packs before I sent everything back.

until you want to change the location of the device relative to what it's following.

i'm thinking about filming my brither wakeboarding. sure i could give him the transmitter the that hex is following, but then maybe certain tricks are best shot angles other than what the autopilot was set to do before takeoff. i'm sure on-the-fly following position is achievable, but i have a feeling we've quickly skyrocketed far beyond what i'm willing to pay.

my goal is to get 15 minutes of actual flying time. 15 minutes of hovering is easy. i want to be able to follow a boat or truck doing 10-30 mph for 15 minutes. if i have to ditch the HD video point-and-shoot for a go-pro for weight reasons, that's fine. i'm just wanting to get away from 15 minutes of hovering OR 6 inutes of middle speed following.

How much weight (no FPV system) do you think it could realistically lift and move for about 15 minutes? No agressive flying, mostly moving from A to B and hovering in between with this setup

Mike, wehre do you go for your larger capacity batteries. really only found one or two that fit the bill on my normal rc car sights.

8400 mah 3s for $130 is all i could find. all of the 10,000 mah were 2s

My no-payload weight was roughly 8-9 pounds.

anyone have a lead on a decent brushless gimbal that will hold a point-and-shoot? found 2 or 3 on ebay, but don't feel like dropping $300-$600 on something i have no info on. might as well go for the $150 one if i'm going into it blind.
