I need an upper any suggestions

So I'm walking aorund the gun show with my boy this past weekend. We were stoked to see so much good stuff on the tables but the prices were ridiculous for complete AR's. So I said to myself it's time to build.

I found a complete lower, CMMG, for $200. I bought it. Kept on walking.. I went over to the table that had uppers and they wanted mucho too much denero..

So what do you consider a good upper (complete of course)? Chambered in 5.56.

 

go with DPMS or something commercial. I found parts to build mine at a local gun shop and they were out of boston. Don't get caught up in name brands to much all the parts are interchangeable. Good Luck!

 

I may have found a good deal on a Bushmaster upper 20" fluted, complete with bolt and charging handle.

 

CMMG is good

 

I got a BCM upper w/ charging handle and bolt. However, you pay for quality. There is a difference.

 

Go BCM. I'm no brand whore, but quality is quality. It's really pretty reasonably priced, and quality on par with Colt and LMT.

You might look at Rock River Arms.If you plan on keeping this forever cool , if you may resell in the future go with a good name.....Colt , Bush , RRA ,S&W or Aramalite.If you want good get LWRC ,LMT or Noveske.

 

Stag is the best upper for the money in my opinion.

 

I got a Bush upper. 20" heavy barrel complete. $400 for it slightly used.

 

Now go shoot the piss out of it!!!!
