I'm a long term Jeep guy that just purchased my first Tacoma, so bear with me. :)
I just bought a set of 2013 FJ rims and want to put 285 75 17 BFG Muds on them. Can I get these on my 2014 Tacoma without any rubbing?? I'm running 265 70 16 right now.
The FJ rims are 17x7.5's and I think the back space is 4.5" or 4.75".
    Thanks!

Sorry! But seriously welcome to TW. In order to run a 285 you need a lot of things to happen! Do some searching, all the info is here.

3" lift minimum for that size tire, Cab mount chop, cut plastic out and remove mud flaps, New UCA's to run a 3" lift in order to get the alignment correct. The biggest you can go with stock is probably a 270 70 17 Maybe a 275 70 17 with stock wheels.

I did some research on this site and this is one of the many posts that I found....

I just bought a 2011 TRD Offroad Tacoma double cab. The truck is equiped with the "tx pro" model which comes with those "bead lock" black trd wheels which I believe (through research) is a 16x7.5 with 4.5bs... the truck has a 2.5 leveling kit and a 1.5aal in the rear. I am looking to get rid of the awful performing, looking and undersized rugged trails. I was thinking that I could get away with a 285/75/r16 with this current set up. Please let me know if I am off on this tire size/wheel combo. I am currently debating the duratecs or some bfg a/t if that matters? Any and all information would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance for your time and advice!
If the TX pro wheels are 4.5" BS (which I THINK they are), you will be able to fit the 285/75/16's with some minor fender well trimming. some folks also have to chop the cab mount, which isn't as bad as it sounds.

As far as duratracs vs AT KO's, if I were to guess, the duractracs might rub a little more because they have a more aggressive sidewall tread, but I'm really not sure.

Sounds like if I do the leveling kit with 2.5" in the front and 1" in the back, I should be good. No??

This ^ Except mine are 285/70/17's on aftermarket wheels but the same applies. no rubbing just removed the mud flaps

Scott I feel like I'm following you around the interwebz and it's weirding me out...

Are you running any front armor? or just the skid? I'm adding a skid and have an ARB APEX bumper on the front so its going to be heavy...and thank you for the feedback...now for the money...

The ARB will help out and the 885s should work perfectly with what you have. I have 885s as well with just the extra 25lb Matt123 skid and they are pretty stiff. Mine has about 600 miles on them and hasn't settled any yet too. I plan on adding a front bumper at some point in time.

    ARB Apex??

ARB will squash 885s, I have an All Pro Apex front bumper and 885x coils. After about a week they dropped almost a half an inch. I ran the 885x coils with out any armor and the ride was great.
