I'm trying to get 3 inch lift out of it, im not so sure a AAl will do???
By the way how much do they go for??? Might be getting them from 4wheel.

Anyways is it weird that my 2013 taco leaf springs are already squeaking? There gonna be changed but still feel they're squeaking way to soon.

What do your springs sound like when they make a noise? I've noticed a high pitch noise from the rear when hitting bumps. I thought it was the spare tire chain, but now I'm thinking it's something else.

The noise it makes is really noticeable when entering and exiting the truck. I use to think it was my shocks(stock for now till Monday) but realized its the springs. The springs Toyota puts on these Tacoma's really sucks. I'm about an inch from flatting these out and only had the truck for a year.

Headstrong will match? or 4wheel parts? Trying to get them from them because there main warehouse is not to far so I can go pick them up soon after the sale and not wait for delivery since I'm so eager to put my spindles and new shocks haha.

Yea I know I'm acting like a little kid trying to install everything soon.

    Headstrong will price match.

4WP won't even give me a price, they say they don't have any leaf packs to match my truck. I also tried clearing my vehicle and searching by brand and it won't load leaf packs for my truck  Since they're closer, go with them and you will save on shipping costs.

We've all been there man haha I am currently there waiting to have my wheels and tires installed this weekend

I would advise against Dakars unless you haul. Since they're made for trucks that constantly have weight in the back they'll be very stiff. It's up to you of course, and the Dakars are nice leaf packs, but just too stiff for a regular ride (removing a leaf is always an option however).

You own Dakars or are you just going off of what you hear on here?

Nearly every pack I have owned has been stiffer than the stock ones, this is to be expected if you want something thats going to hold up over time. Even if you normally don't add weight to the bed, the minute you do with those factory packs or ones equivalent to them in ride, you will realize having packs a little on the stiff end isn't a bad thing.

You can always add weight to make them ride softer (spare wheel/tire), but good luck fixing the issue of having them too soft from the get go and frowning out.

    Getting there...
I have Dakars...yes they're stiffer than I prefer. Would totally take them over the crap soft stock ones. And it gives me more of a reason to add some armor hehe

I have dakars and I don't think they are too stiff at all. They ride great. AAL is stiffer.

No, I don't own Dakars. And I didn't buy them because or the dozens of threads and hundreds of posts that say exactly the same thing. Dakars are made for weight in the back. Just like any other HD leaf pack.

Just because it's a truck doesn't mean the ride has to be needlessly stiff. If you haul, get the Dakars. If it's a mall crawler or road queen or off-roader, don't.

I just put in the wheelers HD progressive 3 leaf AAL which I believe gives about 2.5' of lift when you keep the overload in.

Because it's progressive, it's still pretty nice ride when unloaded. I haven't had a chance to load it yet so we'll see how they do. The stock springs were totally flat and would sag even with just a bunch of bikes on the back and some camping gear. Oh, and mine is a 2013 with only 10,000 miles on her!

I don't load the back up often (couple loads of dirt once a year and some camping trips) so that's why I didn't go with a full pack like the Dakars.

I do own them and with the weight of just a spare in the back the ride is good IMO. The other packs I owned were too stiff on road and they were not considered HD packs either. Though I did ditch the longer overload in the Dakars because I felt as if the one was sufficient for my use; the first five leafs seemed to flatten out over it a bit too quick at up travel and I didn’t want this.

I've had them on my truck for a year now and got my shocks dialed in just right to suite my needs (primarily offroad use).

Honestly I couldn't be happier with the Dakars and anyone who is ever riding along with me agrees the truck feels and handles great both on and off road.

When I made my decision to buy them I did so based on my personal experience, the design of the leaf packs and the ability to easily modify them (add or remove leafs).
