I don't much care for the way they tack welded the square tube spacers to the bearing housing and to the crossmember bracket, but they're only tacks. Was it much cheaper? I understand the rubber isolator is much more solid, how is it in real working conditions?

    AHH OK,

after your first post about the ranger CB, i looked around and all i could find was flush mount top CB's like that, not the center tab ones like that are on the tacoma and i wondered how the hell you got it on your truck.... makes perfect sense now!

About the only thing i would do is put a plate across the bottom between the two bolts.

Did they run a bolt all the way back up to the stock nuts on the frame?

FYI we have a 1.1811in ID center support bearing.... here is the ranger one

Bolt goes thru tubing to stock nuts, tacks are just to hold in place.

Adams driveline Henderson NV is where I got the CB, I also looked for this online, didn't find. Was told it was a Splash (96?) CB . It has 1.1811 ID.

So far so good, no issues.

Yes, it is much beefier. Its all bonded together, so its like 1 piece. Stock Taco's are 3 pieces.
