Hey guys and gals in the North GA, SC, Western NC area,

I put this in the regional places also but maybe can get more this way too.

In Macon County NC (city of Franklin) there is going to be a Shop with a Cop Fundraiser auto show. Everyone is welcome to attend. I invite everyone to attend and join. It would be cool to see some more of the TW peeps there, and anyone you know that has a car they would like to put in the show. Should be a great turn out.

Last year was great and around christmas all the money goes to children that are less fortunate. The public safety people take the children to walmart. They are allotted money that is split between all the children. (last year all the children received $100 a piece) They are able to buy what the want but have to get someone else a gift. We then take the children out to lunch and then to go wrap gifts. Santa is always there too.

i do not quite get the premise? why 'shop with a cop'? why not just give the money to the children so they get all of it? you know the cop will at least pocket 50% and/or do something else crooked?

why not have the fund raiser and give all proceeds to the kids? why involve the criminals? If it was only for the kids, no criminals involved, THAT would be a great cause that i would very much love to contribute to. lining cops pockets.. blah!

ok just because your a dick and dont like cops for some reason..doesnt mean youre wanted in this thread.. this is to help kids.. it is CALLED shop with a cop.. it is all County employees and locals that participate.. including EMS, Fire, Administration people, Garbage men, Dispatch, ect. i know where the money goes, ive seen it.. ive participated for years in this.. so if you cant be supportive go away... The money is in Walmart gift cards not cash, the kids get to spend the money and choose what they want to buy... not the "criminals"....act like youre 49 not 12....

i understand that and i also posted in the regional forum too. Just trying to get all the people that i can reach out to. Not everyone sees the regional forum every few days, The more help we have the better christmas the kids can have.
