Bed Cages Pics please

Wanted to keep the bed with long travel to haul bikes.

okay thats what i figured haha. just threw me off for a sec when i first saw it.

 

Did you fabricate that yourself? I've been wanting long travel but don't want to lose to much bed space.

Wow, looks great man. I have no experience in fabricating things like that but am pretty handy with wood works stuff but that is useless in this situation. Mind if I use that as a model for my bed cage if I find a friend willing to mock that up for me?

 

Go ahead, it works out nice. Fits two bikes with no problem. If I wasn't so busy I would fab it up for you but I'm booked for the next couple years.

I heard you guys like bedcages . Here’s mine that SMP is building

 

I really like that keeps the majority of the bed still usable.

Here is my Cage, originally done by Solo Motorsports when I lived in California. Bed is 100% useable. Frame is boxed from the cab back. I also run a full size 33 (255/85/16) tire under the bed. It is actually shifted back so it doesn't hit the rear axle at full stuffs. I also designed a bed rack for my tent. It bolts onto the bed cage and then to the factory D-ring locations near the tail gate.

Probably the best mod to the truck bed has been the L-track that is in between the channels of the bed. I use them from general home projects to securing camping gear.




I have Mud flaps now, so the truck doesn't look like I murdered something when I drive through mud.
