Never heard of the brand, their LEDs are expensive as hell though, halogens seem like a decent price.

Just ordered 6 of the 4'' HID spots

I have two of the 7'' floods and one of the 7'' spots. been happy with them for years. their original price of $140 is pretty spot on for the normal going rate. $40 a piece is a steal.

I've been looking for an internal ballast HID, these might just be the ticket.

That's the plan. I ordered four of the 7" spots. It will be nice not to have the external ballasts hanging around.

yeah, i'm looking forward to not having a bunch of ballasts strapped to my roof rack. My center bumper light is the 7'' spot that you have coming. it's crazy how focused the beam is. with 4, you'll have some mind-boggling distance, and a really nice spread.

just imagine if you swapped out for 55W ballasts :eek::eek:

I was wondering if that was possible. The ddm ballasts I have now are 55w. Think I can swap them out?

If they are the slim ballasts without the external igniter, then yes. if they are the standard ballasts or do have the external igniter, they may not have the space.

Yeah, they're the slim ballasts. I'll take one apart when they get here and see how much room there is. Will I change out the bulb as well?

I believe the last time I looked into it, that the bulb has a color temp rating only, and will work with both 35 and 55 watt ballasts. It will change the color a little, so just figure out what bulb colors you have/want, and pick accordingly.

for example, a 4500k bulb will have the slightest of yellow tints with a 35w ballast, but will be pure white with a 55w. a 5000k bulb will be pure white with a 35w ballast, but may have a little blue in it with a 55w.
