Will this 2012 radio work in my 2011 ?

I've got a 2011 SR5 prerunner. Will this radio work with my truck?

 

No it will not work fully in your truck. I would recommend an aftermarket unit or a 2013-2014 touch screen radio.

One thing to consider is that the audio quality from these stock radios is total garbage. If you put in even a $100 aftermarket deck it would sound AMAZING. or spend like 500 and get a double din with a screen that would be as capable as the factory one... sure you wouldnt have entune, which i hear is nice, but reading on here people dont seem to be doing backflips about it.

 

If this unit doesn't work out for ya I'll take the one you have off your hands.

Ya, I don't have this radio, I saw it on Craigslist San Diego. Just wanted to ask TW if it will work before I consider buying it.

I replaced the stock radio in my 08 for a 2014 radio, which is essentially the same as the 2012 radio. It fits pretty decent, comes up over the edges a little bit, but otherwise it looks good, and it looks stock too.
