Looking for a small trailer to occasionally transport my motorcycle for weekend get aways. Truck is ’04 DC 4x4 V6 auto. Bike is an ’05BMW R1200 GS (600 lbs). See pics. Considering the trailer in picture, which is a Homesteader 6x12 single axel (SA) with no brakes. While searching the forums here…have seen lots of discussions regarding double axle (DA) and trailer brakes. Given an average load of 1000lbs (BMW , Mtn bikes, & misc gear), I assume both features are overkill for my situation?
    thanks,
    Bob

Double axle is absolutely overkill and brakes aren't necessary for what you'll be hauling (although trailer brakes are never a bad thing in my opinion, just not always necessary). Hell, my pop-up weighs over 2,000 lbs, single axle, no brakes.
