    Hey guys,
So I'm still pretty new to TW but I decided to add locks to the small compartments in the bed of the truck as well as the rear bins under the back seat. I actually used the thread by Floridaoccifer which was really help, but I decided I would make a video out of my experience with it. Hopefully the video will make it super easy for everyone else. One of my favorite little/cheap mods that I've done to my truck so far. Ill post the link to the other write up as well for multiple perspectives. This is one of my first videos I've made too so I'm open to ideas for future videos, criticism, and mods that people may want done. Bare with the bad video angles, I didn't notice the camera was pointed too high until I finished it all..... don't mind my dirty dining room I was working on.

You need 5/8" cabinet locks, they were $4.17 at Home Depot. Try to get matching keys, I had to do two different keys because I couldnt find 5 matching locks, so the bed locks all match and the cab locks all match. Also mine were for 16mm depth I believe, they were a bit short so I had to trim the plastics alittle extra.

    Finished Product:

Good tutorial!! I was going to try to do it with some mailbox locks that i have. They have a little snap clip that holds it in place instead of a nut, so I think I'll have to just use some cabinet locks instead.

Any reason why you didn't paint the locks before you installed them?

Not any paticular reason, I think mostly because I wanted to make sure they fit and worked before painting them and then I didn't want to have to disassemble and then reassemble it. But I think either way would work, the rust-o-leum was real thick so if you use thick paint I'd just be worried about getting it onto the threading and it being tough to get the nut on the back.

Yeah finding more than 3 matching keys was the toughest part, I ended up with the 3 bed locks all matching and the 2 underseat locks matching. I guess 2 keys isn't too bad right?

Thanks for the Video. I did this today to my 2015 TRD Sport Double Cab. I was able to find all 5 keys the same and I test fitted one then removed it painted all 5 and then installed them all. I used a grinding wheel attached to my air compressor instead of a file to enlarge the holes. Thanks for all your steps and the great video!

Great mod and video!! I've been storing "don't care if it gets stolen" items in the bed storage compartments until now; will do this mod this week.

Dang your lucky you found 5 same keyed locks. I'm still looking for a few other matching sets to match the 2 that I've done.

Hey I know this is off topic but did you guys know that in the back seats of our trucks there are seat belt holsters? See right above the buckles those little angles slits in the bottom of backrests? The seat belt buckles slide up into them.
