What have you done with those cubbies in the bed? Not just the ones with the doors, but those two up front without the doors? I saw someone mounted lights in there once. I've also seen the Tuffy box install.

    Any other creative uses?

The toddler and baby seat mod.
The "locked" compartments hold ratchet straps and bungie cords. The front compartments hold, wait for it, a baseball and two golf balls!

I keep a tow chain in the big one and on the top small ones I keep players and 7 spade to 4 flat adapter. I want to put some weather stripping on the big ones to make them more rain resistant.

I keep tie downs in the ones with doors, and bug spray, sun block and beer coozies in the small ones up front. Eventually I want to add a power supply in the bigger one like the TRD models have.

2012 is when they took the front cubbies out and put in two nice tie down spots higher up on the front of the bed.

Put my rear diff breather mod in back one on drivers side ... I don't keep much in there but a pair of work gloves and some rope..

I went from a '10 to '14 two weeks ago ... I thought the bed looked cleaner but couldn't put my finger on it ... now I know why.

Led lights are the best usage, IMO. I modded in some foldin foldout foglights after someone mentioned it in on one of the various bedlight threads. Works great for illuminating the rear of the bed and being on swivels you can spotlight them all over.

2012 still has the small doorless cubbies.

Yeah I think 2013 was when they stopped installing them, or late model 2012s. My 2012 has them no clue if it's an early or late model 2012 though.
