turbo kit 3rz 2000 taco

hey guys i was lookin for turbo kits tht would fit my tacoma 2.7 4x4 and i came along this one .. im not to familiar with turbos , it seems like this one is good .. what u guys think ?

That is a crap turbo kit with nothing but knockoff parts. i wouldnt pay more then 500 bucks for it.

You need to try to find a shop that specializes in turboing your car or build something from scratch. The only thing in that kit that LOOKS ok would be the exhaust manifold but that would be ONLY if you supported the turbo from another source.


Edit: it is also nowhere NEAR complete.

turbos have the potential to be better than an SC, but the added complexity can make it much more difficult to achieve that potential. For most people who aren't willing to spend time constantly tweaking their setups, an SC is the way to go...just my opinion

Yeah be careful your engine will eat that torbo for lunch, literally..

Those Chinese turbos are not balanced to the specs necessary for 40,000 rpm operation, only a matter of time before it grenades....

The manifold may work, make sure the wastegate clears the AC if you have it...

Looks like it would be OK minus the turbo and the cheap wastegate.

Just a good turbo should cost anywhere from 900 to 1500 depending on how big it is and if it's ball bearing
