So I have been looking to buy another Tacoma because I sold my last one and got a Silverado. Long story short I am not a fan of the Silverados as I thought so I am coming back to the world of tacomas. :D

But I have found a 08 Taco with a 6" lift and when communicating back and forth about it I got him to send me a picture of the coil overs and noticed there was some rust on the frame and what not. I know that the frames will not look perfect due to it being off road some.

I just want to know if I am over reacting when it comes to the frame.

Yes. You are overreacting about the frame in that picture. That is nothing.

I have more rust than that on my penis.

From lack of use, or from being routinely put away wet?

I would be very concerned!!! I have a very low mileage "09" who's frame looks like it might have been used as an anchor on the Queen Mary, (Toyota says "No Problem" I really like the Truck, a great truck in many areas, but the rust is a big issue (for me), I really find it hard to believe how well they hold their value, with so many rust issues. (I don't think anyone looks under them) jmop

Even though I expressed my concern about rust issues, I do have to agree, I see nothing there to be concerned with.

Where's the truck located? If it's a state where they salt the roads, it could be somewhat of a concern. My 2006 has a large hole by the driver side cat. It was in NJ for several years unfortunately. Waiting on a new frame at the moment.
