i have been posting around different places the past few days trying to find out what coil is drivers side on a set of front coils i picked up.

picked up a pair of 2009 trd offroad coils and shocks from a friend local to me. going to be swapping them with 5100's onto my 2009 4runner in a few weeks. looking at them i cant tell what side is drivers and whats passenger. one is marked with two green marks and the other is two red marks. the response i have gotten on facebook pages and other forums is split about 50/50 as far as what goes on the drivers side. i know that there are different colors that i have seen on the trd offroad coils from different years so its making it a bit hard to track down without people just fighting over who is right and wrong. below is a picture of what they look like. also if there should be a part number on the coils i have no clue where they would be located

Judging by the color I'm not sure. My passenger side on my TRD has white marks on the coil and the Drivers side has yellow. So I'm not sure you can go by just that.

I believe the stock coils come with one side taller/longer for the driver side. Can't be too sure but I read it on here somewhere.

Do they both have the exact same number of coils? I can't tell from the picture, because it doesn't show where the top coils end. If they are different, the one with more turns goes on the driver's side. Otherwise, go nautical and put the red one on the port side. ;)

Bilstein 5100's on all four corners. Front set @ 0 with OME 883x coils. Alcon leaf springs. Viper Alarm. Wet Okole seat covers. WeatherTech Floor liners front and back. Oem Toyota chrome exhaust tip. ARE Shell. America Outlaw Wheels.
Those look just like mine. Which are off of a 2011 Tacoma prerunner off road TRD . The green stripe is the passenger side and the redesh rust color is the driver side. This is how the factory installed mine. I marked them before removing them.
