Has anyone used the "LED License plate bolts" or "single DTRL LED bulbs" and wired them up in the bed. I don't need a work light bright bed to see, I am just looking for a few Lumens to see objects in the bed.

I don't mind drilling a couple (2-4) holes in the bed to bolt the lights up and thread the wire between the 2 skins.

These are what I am talking about?

I got some 5050 SMD led strip and stuck it to the underside of the bed rails. Works very well. I got a 5 meter roll of it and it is enough to go around the whole bed but get some small strips and stick them where you need them. Takes barely any juice at all.

    Tiny

    Small

    Large

    And the result is...boom

Firetaco; I have thought about it...but I'm worried about the double sided tape failing once it gets hot. I like the bolt ideal.

I understand, the adhesive that comes on it is kinda weak, however, the leds never get hot...ever. I put a little 3m double sided tape on in a few spots and it has held up for 18 months so far.
