This thread originated as a simple thread showing off my suspension, but it has now morphed into the central hub for information about ADS, pictures of setups, and a place where people can ask questions. If anyone else is running ADS on any vehicle, we'd love to see your setup, so post pics here! If you have posted your suspension, but I have not linked it on this OP, then PM me and I will update it.

ADS offers the usual bolt-on products for Tacomas and many other vehicles, but can also do nearly anything you desire from bumpstops to bypasses to specific-length, application dependent shocks. For these products, it is best to contact one of the vendors listed below.
For more information about bolt-on products ADS makes for 2nd Gens (2005-current):

    My Story:
I went with ADS Racing Shocks initially because they are local and had heard good things about them. I went in to their shop and got a "tour" of the warehouse and where they build everything etc, and was incredibly impressed as everything is essentially in-house. Since getting it put on, I have put this suspension to the test (more than I should have with stock LCAs and spindles) and am still blown away at how smooth the shocks are and how well they handle everything. Here is my set-up:

In the front, I have 2.5" IFP Coilovers (650lb coils) which are fully adjustable from 0-3" of lift and also LR UCA's (because I ran out of money quickly).

In the rear, I opted for a Deaver Mini AAL pack and took out the overload leaf. The shocks are 2.125" emulsions.

And this is how my truck sits today after the lift and a good cleaning and detail!

All in all, I am incredibly pleased with the ride quality on and off road and would recommend this set-up to anyone. I would place ADS among the best of the best with more familiar names like King and Icon. I am super excited to be one of the earlier customers for the bolt-on Tacoma suspension kits, as I know they are due to become massively popular any time now.:D

Haha uh....I may have forgotten to do the before measurements:facepalm:. I did them about a year ago when I got all new leaf springs put in as part of the TSB. I can hopefully dig those up somewhere!

I just put on a set and love them! Great customer service too! I'll get some pics up once I'm on a computer.

I need to figure how to get my truck to sit level though. Maybe switch to a 700lb spring in the front. My truck sits about the same as yours.

Post the pics here! I'd love to see yours. Right now, as far as I can tell, my truck sits level in person as that's how I had them install it.

About $1350 front coilovers and $470 for the rears.

That's a great point. Possibly after 50k miles or whenever a rebuild is needed, I'll have reservoirs and compression adjustors put on if they will, similar to someone else's set up (cough cough Stefan).

Great choice going with ADS. I replaced my Icon setup with ADS and couldn't be happier. I've got compression adjusters on all corners it's well worth it and went with 2.5 in the rear. The ADS suspension outperforms the Icon suspension in my opinion.
Brian and the rest of the ADS crew are fantastic!

Is that an apples to apples comparison? Did you have the CDC on your icons. And I assume they were not 2.5 rears. Just tyrin to get a fair comparison

They look great! Top notch build quality from what I can see. You definitely should consider some RR's in the future though to keep them cooler if you want to wheel hard.

The # spring will not raise you up at all, it's all dependent on the overall spring length. For example, going a 14" spring from a 13" will require you not having to wrench down on the adjuster so much when it comes time to lift the truck. Saving you some preload, and also threading on the shock body. Whatever you do, keep the lift under 3 inches or your axle CV boots angles will be all jacked up.

They appear to be a very well built shock. I almost went that route, but I ended up going SAW/Fox combo setup.

As a side footnote, I figured I'd throw this out there that I've heard from the grapevine, that Icon brand is actually made by Rough Country. :O
