Bilstein 5100 question

    I know this has been answered 100 times but I gotta ask again. I was planning to level my Taco doing 2.5 with the 5100 and stock coils and a 1 inch block on rear. Is this fine because I have been reading that doing the 2.5 on front may have alignment issues?

    Or should I just do 1.75 and nothing to rear? I just looking for level. I am prolly staying with stock size tires or maybe 265/70/17 or 285/60/18. Thanks

    3inch lift,285/75/16 on method 301's
    If you go to 2.5 you will need new UCA's. I put mine at 1.75 with 3 leaf wheeler HD in the rear.

    3" lift EIBACH coils w/ 5100's front, OME/ Dakar leaf springs w/ toytec adjustable shackles at 1.5" and 5125's out back. 33x10.5x15 KM2's Relentless DIY steel bumper.
    To get a back to stock alignment (or close) you'll need new UCA's. Alignment Techs can get the alignment numbers to be "within spec" but that's not always a good alignment.

    Set it at 2.5" and go to a good alignment shop, you'll be fine.

    If I install these 5100's at 1.75 tomorrow I know it needs an alignment but how much is it affected? Would it hurt to drive it till next weekend?

    Should be fine! But I would definitely get one as soon as possible!

    AAL, Bilstein 5100
    Hey guys...
    I put a AAL's on the rear a while back and decided to go with Bilstein 5100 adjustables on the front but the shop left them in the lowest position. Can I adjust the setting myself by taking the load off the shock and pulling the C-ring and moving it up a couple of slots?

    bilstein set at 1.75, Racho 5000 rear with 4 leaf kit, floor mats, high lift jack, pull hook in hitch, bed rail corner braces, severe duty brake pads and devil horns on the grill....
    I don't think so...no access to the retaining rings with springs in place.

    I did install the 5100's on the rear just because I read they are a better shock than stock and I like them to match the front. But that didn't change ride height

    So in those pictures you have 5100s front and rear, both set at 1.75? With no additional work done to the rear??

    Looks very nice BTW
