Anybody want to wheel/camp for Labor Day weekend? I know it's busy camping time, but I figure if we go somewhere deep, 4x4 only, it'll be less crowded...

Can't believe I just found this! Moved to SLC for college last week. But anyway, here's a pic of my Tacoma up on Hull Mountain by Lake Pillsbury.

Better enjoy pillsbury while it's there! I have a place up there and so far we have lucked out this summer being one of the only lakes that reached capacity and wasn't emptied right away, guess there opening the gates this week for the fish run.

Sounds fun... What trails are nearby your place? And any good camping spots in the area?

Sweet. Never done any real wheeling up in Shasta/T, but been all over the backcountry up there for fires. Lightning fires every summer up that way. One thing I do know is that volcanic rock FUCKS up your tires...

I'll look into some trails up that way, and see if anybody else is down. I texted jason yesterday but he hasn't got back to me yet.

Well the Marlin Crawler Roundup was a blast, didn't have any issues with people not being friendly other than one instance but it was taken care of. Great group of people, I look forward to taking my own rig next year. Weather held up nicely and if you ever have an opportunity to go I suggest you take it.

Dennis, his dad owns tree experts. Yeah that's how I met cody haha. His first time really wheeling and his truck did really well. Dual cases made a world of difference even though he's still carbureted.

Not bad at all, the silver one on 35s pretty much walks everything. He got hung up a couple of times but nothing some rock stacking couldn't fix. The white one did pretty well, it was his first time through and there was definitely a learning curve but he never got hung up too bad. Body damage is to be expected but they both got out fairly clean. The trails a blast, especially swimming/rope swing/relaxing at the springs.
