Here I am. My first brand new vehicle. I was very excited and surprised how easy it was.
I work for toyota, TMMI. I know the pride and care that goes into every bolt and plug that toyota takes. That in addition to the discount it really wasn't a hard decision for me to get a tacoma.
But man do I love it. It rides so nice. We don't have mountains and rocky terrain in my area. So all he gets is dirt roads and occasionally some mud.

I feel like I have been building Toyota's my whole life. I currently still own my three favorites, the newest being the 13 Tacoma. Although I am not new to Toyota I am to forums. I started googleing for automotive answers a few years ago and have found a wealth of knowledge in these forums. If you can't beat them join them, I guess. All of my automotive experience is fairly old school, I might need a little advice with this new truck. I hope you will all let me partake.:D

Cheers! My truck is only a few months old as well, and I am more than ready to mod it out! I would like to see if I can mod mine towards Off-Roading though I am not sure as to what to start doing first. I want to do as little rework as possible.

Hello! Thought I would say hi. New to TW, and have bought my very first Tacoma. After many months of searching and debating I finally drove the very best vehicle I've ever owned. Hoping to learn a lot here and upgrade my Baja to kale her mine.

Nothing yet just bought it, pick it up soon.
Just wanted to make my first post. Just bought a Blue 2014 Tacoma 4x4 TRD sport Long Bed. I'm currently deployed on one of our fine navy ships and am looking forward to getting back soon. My wife should pick the truck up next week and i'm already planning on lifting it.

    Bone stock, no mods.........yet. =)
New to the forum, I have a 1999 Corolla as DD that I bought for $2k a couple years ago, minimal maintenance, very minimal. Mom has a Sequoia which I have fallen in love with on road trips, minimal maintenance as well and smooth driving, reason why I chose a Tacoma as DD now and to take the girlfriend/dog out.

Got her this week, 2007 Base Tacoma, RC 2.7L 5-speed, black, I can tell it was a working truck because the bed took most of the beating, clean Carfax and title, the looks does not bother me and keeps thieves away, rest of the truck has scuffs and scratches but nothing major. One owner, 122k on the odo, got it on a trade plus cash on top on the guy's side, very happy with it!
    =)

I want to do a full tune up before I start putting the next 100k miles on her, is there a link/thread around here that I should check out? I did engine, manual transmission, differential, air/oil filters, spark plugs, belt, etc. replacements on the vehicle I traded so I am somewhat mechanically inclined, just want a second opinion before I break some, lol.

P.S. I love the turning radius on these vehicles..........amazing!

    Update:
    10/01/2014
Just picked up a LEER 100R shell yesterday, charcoal color, the difference is not as noticeable as I thought, very happy! Just need a sliding rear window, any help of where to find one is greatly appreciated.

    Howdy Everyone,

I owned a Toyota T100 for 14 years, but with a growing family and not wanting to give up my truck, I sold it and bought a White 2010 4x4 Double Cab Tacoma.

I'm looking to meet some people in the Kansas City area, do some light off roading

I'm also planning several mods and will problem need some guidance along the way. I've done some research in this forum and here's my list ordered what I plan to do first:

    Planned Mods
    • Tinted Windows
    • 3" Lift (don't know which one yet)
    • 18" Black and Machined Rims
    • Nitto Grappler AT Tires (not sure what size yet)
    • Westin Black Bull Bar with Steel Skid Plate with KC Fog Lights
    • Raptor style "TACOMA" grill
    • Roof Rack (don't know which one yet) with LED Light Bar
    • Undercover Hidden Winch (maybe if I can find a great price)

Will post pictures as I have the budget/time to knock these out.

In central valley of California. Plant to keep truck running good and pretty much stock. I like to do my own services and maintenance. I like the literature and information available in this forum. Thanks for all the work it takes do to provide this.

I like to kayak, hunt, fish, birdwatch, sight see, be in the mountains etc... That is one of the reasons for my choice in this truck and I like to be able to do my own maintenance etc.
