    A friend suggested Betterment to me as a way to invest, since I have zero knowledge or experience. Has anyone used it? Comments?

    I hadn't heard of Betterment until your post. I found this:

    My suggestion is to learn about investing and do it yourself via no-load funds--T Rowe Price and Vanguard are two well known ones. Worked very well for me.

    If you are not inclined to do a bit of homework first, Betterment sounds like a reasonable way to go.
