Got quoted $1915 install/alignment out the door price for a full ome suspension lift on my 2014 double cab 4x4. Decent price? Do not have tools or skills to install myself.

 

Go 886 then of you are all armored up for sure.

 

Does this include UCAs? I assume dakars and not an AAL? You really only need basic tools.

If dakars are included and no UCAs that would be about $1300 including alignment. So you would be paying around $600 for the install. It took me and a friend 4 hours to install everything including UCAs. UCAS were the hardest. You may be looking at 6 install hours at a rate of $100/hour. I would say that is a little high in my area...but that is just a guess. I think there is a thread on install prices. You might want to look for that. I'm just rambling...

 

1900 is an outrageously ridiculous price quote. its been over a year that I've had my OME kit installed and i think i paid 400 install/alignment at a local shop where i live. 1900 sounds like they are charging you labor time as well to be honest

 

Yeah just bought some. I know it's ill advised but I'm going to put them on 5100's for a few months until things are better financially and then switch out to nitros.

Btw I hope I didn't screw up but I didn't notice until after I paid for them the springs I bought are 886x not 886 what does that mean.

 

Pretty sure the x is just the newest revision of the springs.

So dumb question. I know my 5100's didn't come with new top hats but do the ome's have new top hats with them.

Any idea where to get new ones at? I was watching a video online of the ome swap without a spring compressor and his top hats were shot to hell. And I'm betting mine are going to be close.

Seems like a good price to me. If I remember correctly they were much higher than that at other places.

Can y'all help me compare these 2 setups please? I'm wanting to order from wheeler's, I'm comparing the full OME kit vs. billies front and rear with 885 springs and the 2" AAL from wheeler's. The cost for the setup with the billies and the AAL is about half, where and how is the full OME setup better? I have no experience with either of these setups. If I did the full kit, I'd remove the third leaf to sit the rear level with the front.

 

Go full ome..nothing beats a full leaf pack
