So I bought this bumper from another Tacoma owner and noticed some rust points. So I took the bumper apart and started scraping and sanding the paint off. I found there was way more rust under the paint. Has anyone ever heard or seen this happen? I was excited to get it and now disappointed at the quality. The bumper has only been in the Colorado Springs area. 697fd559e27d0d822faf7afd396ef69e_d30217dcdef075332ad4965760647eb6aad79c7f.jpg64c5b43fe8020793513c7450f7d5fa1e_2df9bea9ecfa1eb4f4ad23e3d0b1b5ccd775ecb2.jpg7b1a94d1010eeb82692d5fe23a1cf26d_b5e584c7cffac6bcda69ada467d6b991c4caa92e.jpg9480b96dedd1685fecdfca3bb43a493e_5058e452e2259c3c96c94847ea8a1e4be9c8d7d4.jpg
These are pictures of just the center piece. I have already sanded and painted the other parts. It is taking me a while since work takes up most of my time.

It's a plate steel bumper... media blast it and prime it and paint it... unless that rust is THROUGH the plate (not likely) it should be expected. - I don't beleive all pro sends their bumpers painted so you can put that on the previous owner, but it shoudl hvae been disclosed IMHO

I'm trying it myself. I grinded the rust off and used hammer lite paint. Used it on my rock crawler and its great. So I will take pics and update as this bumper progresses.
