Barnett - Your Caster is far from being in spec. I'm surprised that your truck doesn't wander at speed. My caster specs were very close to yours after my lift and the truck was a nightmare. At anything over 30 mph it would wander. The steering would no longer self center and hitting potholes or going over railroad tracks was an adventure.

I got lucky and found a shop that knew how to align lifted trucks and managed to get it right. They maxed out the adjustments but I ended up walking out with Caster of 1.9 on the left and 2.0 on the right. It made a huge difference in the way the truck drove.

For reference most good offroad shops recommend 0 toe, 0 camber and 2.5 to 3.0 of caster for the tacoma. The caster is above Toyota's specs but it really helps with the way the truck drives.

X2 with no offense towards you Barnett. It is just impossible for a 3" lift to be "in-spec" without UCAs. I used to be one of those guys guilty of misinformation.

FWIW, Jager has an '03 and IIRC the 1st gens will tolerate more lift before "needing" new UCAs.

Did not know that. It drives great I haven't noticed the wandering at hwy speeds. Should I take it back and have them do it again. Is it going to ruin my tires when I put them on next week. No offense taken glad y'all pointed that out

Seriously doubt that they will be able to help you. At 2.5", the best I could get was 0.9 and 1.1 caster. Low caster won't wear tires. Only thing they could do is tweak your other numbers (camber is a little high on the FR).

If you think it drives great now, put a set of aftermarket UCAs on and you will be in heaven.

K32, I'm in the same boat as you. The search function is pretty poor and I feel more confused after browsing the forum - especially with my lack of auto knowledge, the lingo throws me off. I have a 2010 Tacoma with a 3" spacer and I'm looking to get rid of it. I hate it. I feel like I use my truck for the same purposes as you and the lift is definitely for aesthetics, but I occasionally go fishing where I have to off road as well as Mtn bike quite often and it requires rough terrain.

Anyway, I hate my 3" spacers (were installed by previous owner). They are decent on road, but around 45mph they shake pretty bad. Off-road, they are horrendous!

So, I'm in the market for a new lift and after all my research, it looks like this is the set i'm going to get. I will also be purchasing Total Chaos UCA's, I've heard bad reviews on the Light Racing. I feel like it's the best value for what's out there. If someone has a better suggestion i'm certainly open to it. Thanks!

Thanks for the help, as long as it doesn't destroy the new km2's, guess uca's will be next.

search around and you will find just as many good reviews on LR UCAs

...edit...And number of these could be linked to improper installation.

That is true. I also like the look of Total Chaos better - probably can't go wrong either way.
