Unfortunately Michael Sam is not an every down lineman. He is undersized as a DE and cannot play another position so that makes his chances limited to land on a team.

Regardless of your other assertations, this right here is completely false and bullshit to boot.

Any 4-3 defense without much depth at DE could use him. And recently converted 4-3 that used to be a 3-4 could CERTAINLY use him.

He's a somewhat undersized 4-3 end. He's picked up some zip by dropping some weight since college and taken coaching well. Fisher is not known for being a softie...to have gone this long in Fisher's/Williams' program, he's got thick skin, a quick mind, and the boy can 'play'.

The only teams that wouldn't have a use for Sam would be staunch 3-4 clubs with time in as such, so they have good depth at OLB, which Sam isn't fast enough to play and has never tried playing.

Dude seemed like a total douche. I don't think anyone cares what your orientation is or not, just do your job. He drew all the attention to himself. At least we don't have to hear what the shower situation is for the Rams anymore on SC.

I meant the former sentence, where he said Sam drew the attention to himself.

I didn't see much of that at all. I follow the NFL rather closely, yet I saw nothing of Sam being an Attention Whore.

    Rather the opposite, really.

    The funniest part:

This was over *two decades ago*.

    Read this, please:

    http://www.sbnation.com/2013/10/31/5044582/nfl-concussions-helmets-mark-kelso-brandon-meriweather

and a link to a 2010 discussion of the same thing

    http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page...1026_tuesday_morning_quarterback&sportCat=nfl

This could have been effectively stopped a long time ago. When Brett Favre was a n00b this could have been ended.

    But, no. It looks funny.

Last year is last year. Every team is 0-0 right now and has earned precisely 0 bragging rights.

You're entitled to your opinion, my good man. But to me, once you're 48 hours from kickoff of the following season, the rear-view mirror should stop mattering.

    *shrug*

To each their own, I guess.

Denver Broncos wide receiver Wes Welker has been suspended four games for use of amphetamines, sources told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Welker was excused from practice Aug. 20-21 to attend his appeal hearing.

First of all, you're coming off slightly biggot-ish - if that's even a word. Second, a team (now we know, the Cowboys, albeit PS) will pick him up because of his football ability, not because of his sexual preference.

Damn that sucks for everyone that drafted him in their fantasy leagues

The cowboys are going to pick him up because jerry jones wants the publicity.

Pfft, I knew someone would get around to bigotry accusations.

It's not bigotry to be tired of hearing about Sam. The guy isn't good enough to make an NFL team. The only reason he even got drafted is because of his orientation.

I can gloat and brag all I want. If you don't like it, that means you're team lost. I don't blame you for being sad.

Wes Welker ... lol. I bet Belicheat had a gooooood laugh.

Michael Sam. Non-story .. don't care. The guy can't play in the NFL.
