I love my topper. I had one on my Frontier, and then waited until I couldn't stand it anymore on my Taco. Great storage and I love the looks too. eja2e8as_b196fdac8a66f5f866d516e473b6d61576751f91.jpg

Is that the 100XR? Looks like it. I just got that shell, love it. What racks do you have on top?

I've had one on every truck I've ever owned. Keeps the furry friends and tools safe and dry. No mpg changes but not having to unload tools every day is priceless.

Well I ended up getting a leer 100xr.
Adds alot to the truck, all i really travel are highway miles so the mpg thing
will have to be seen. Until then, thx everyone for your thoughts on the issue
    Until next time.....

I had an Mpulse camper shell on my 96 when I bought it. I took it off within a week of having gotten the truck on the road, though I still have it. I could hardly see out of it, but I think that has to do more with my height than anything. (I'm 5' 1") I still have it though, because eventually my dad and I want to go tour the Gettysburg and Sharpsburg battlefields, and we are going to put an air mattress in the bed so we don't have to get a hotel.
When I did have it on the truck, I really did appreciate all of the dry cargo room it gave me. I would hang out in the bed when it rained, and didn't have to worry about groceries getting rained on and stuff like that. It definitely has it's perks, but I had to take mine off so I could see. Plus, it didn't exactly match the truck. The truck is green, the shell is a yellowish tan.
I didn't really notice an increase in MPG when I took it off, but at the same time, that extra weight on the bed made the truck handle a little better in rain.
