So i moved all of my stuff to maryland, and then my company decided they still needed me in houston.......

bottom line, all my toys are 1500 miles away, and i'm in a corporate apartment with very little to do in my free time other than go to the gym or sit by the pool (both get old fast) thinking about picking up another RC to keep here to hold me over for the next 3 weeks to 3 months (unsure how long i'll be here)

options i am considering range from an axial i can just keep in the rental car and take to parks after work, to another micro i can mess around with in the apartment, to a drift car, to maybe even something else that flies. really just looking for something different from what i already have. What say tacomaworld?

of the two shops near me in houston, the one i stoped by yesterday didn't have any. stopping by the other one today or tomorrow probably. i have yet to see one in person. feeling i get though, is that it's essentially a more performance/less scale version of the viterra twin hammers, which i already have.

Damn Colin, I'll be in lusby later today and tomorrow.

I want to pick up a yeti still but can't do it just yet.

Get a drift car, I have a hpi flux but I never really used it because I know no one with a onroad car..

damnit! always just missing you in Lusby.....

i do like the idea of a drift car. apartment they put me in has a nice big concrete lot, and some cool windy sidewalks around the pool that could be fun for one.

thoughts on getting brushless touring car, and tossing some drift tires/gearing on it for a more versitile setup?

Well let me know when your back in MD, I'll come on down there.

I went with the hpi brushless so it can be fast/touring or a overpowered drift car. I was going to build a devoted brushed drift setup but decided not to since lack of drift locations and people.

    i like overpowered.

i really like the looks of the vaterra touring cars, but i know that's just a nice body with some LEDs. i'll have to compare the actual chasis/running gear of those to the HPIs.

I found out that one of my buddies lives in Lusby that I have been playing xbox with now for 8 years. Never met him but weve become great friends... Plan on going to see him soon since I ship in January... Plan on coming to you too so we can hatch a plan for a roof rack!

Wraith has come a long way. Beaten to shit, cut the cage, tires rubbed from the articulation so I dove nosed it a bit. 93tooth spur gear, have new pinions coming. New axles in front, steering links, and a 55t motor, better foams.

    I hate this hobby......

went in to the local store to "just brows some cars"

left two hours later with an HPI Sprint, new charger, two new lipos, and a spare set of wheels with drift tires. took two hours because i don't have my stuff here, so i had to use their solder station for the new plugs, and thier heat gun for the drift tires.

Love the body and paint, but the stickers are coming off tonight :puke:
