I am new to led light bars, and i am hoping to install a 20" led bar on my bull bar of my tacoma 2014. The led bar i purchased is 126 watts and the harness it came with has a 30amp fuse and a 40 amp relay. I purchased the bar (came with harness) from this site. http://olympusoffroad.3dcartstores.com/Wiring-Harness--Single-Light-Setup_p_144.html
i HIGHLY dislike the button that came with this and I'm looking to install a factory foglight switch or a rocker switch. Is this possible to do with this harness to replace the switch, or where can i get a harness compatible with this bar and can swap the switch? help please

From the look I just took at the link you posted the switch only has 2 wires to it?? You should be able to, just will need to cut up the wires going to the switch. (If you are lucky) Or might have to redesign the circuit. (I can't tell from the picture from the link, sorry)

Yeah should be real simple. I think that switch has leds on it for on and off. Not sure how that works in the switch, but depending on the wires that come out of it, three maybe, should just be able to wire in your own switch. Regardless if it has a light or not. If you don't want a lighted one then just leave that wire disconnected on the harness. Use a test light if u got one. Will tell you what wire does what then wire it to your new switch accordingly. Or cut it off and post a pic here and show us the end cut off and your switch that you want to use. Then we'll tell you how to wire it up from there if need be.

Well the harness has a 30amp fuse and a 40amp relay, I would like to put a switch like
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00K6B1H8C/ref=mp_s_a_1_5?qid=1409857446&sr=8-5&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70 this one, which is a 20amp switch. Would it work? I really need a lil detail on rewiring it if you can, I have a 20" 126w led bar

This is the type of switch that one is "Single Pole Single Throw ON-OFF Switch" Which should be good!
You will need to find a source of power you will attach the switch to (just to trigger the relay) and a source of ground (sheetmetal works) for the switch. Then a bigger power wire to the relay to power the larger circuit, then a wire from the relay to the light bar. The relay will need to be grounded (I think, its been awhile since I messed with relays...) and your lights will need to be grounded.

Your harness probably has about 90% or more of what I just said. So, it shouldn't be too hard.

Soo the harness has the relay. Soo would I have to strip the wire for the switch/button on the one it comes with and how would I wire it to the switch? Do you have any diagrams or anything?

Instead of bumper lights, use LED bar, and the backup lights are whatever source of power you want to use.

Or IIRC you do not need the 87a pin, you can ignore it.

Okay well if this switch only has 3 wires, what do I do, do I buy a 3 pin rocker switch or the 5? Because if I already have the 5, is there anyway to do this?

The 5 or 3 pin rocker will work.

The 5 pin rocker is probably a spdt, which is kind of 2 switches that operate at the same time. You can ignore one of them and be fine.

So a 20amp rocker WILL work on a 30 amp fuse and 40 amp relay??

Yes, the switch only handles a little amount of electricity, maybe around an amp. The switch triggers the relay to power the lights via the 30 amp fuse (which might be too high for your application, :notsure: ) So even a tiny 2 amp switch would work.

How would I wire the harness to the new switch? Once I get the wires stripped on the old one. What do I use to plug it onto it and how

Well, your switch has an LED that you want to work, right?

Upload a picture of your switch, not sure with which one you are using...

Colors? not sure haha from your link

"Each switch kit comes complete with 1x switch,1x plug, terminals & 140mm wirer.
Perfect for that factory finish light switch look.
Note these are a non genuine high quality product."

It comes with terminals, and I bet a wiring diagram. So just get the switch first. :)
