Added Hellwig Helper Springs to my dakars and have been very pleased with the results. My dakars would sag with 100 lbs in the bed before the helper springs. Now that I've added the helper springs, I have the perfect amount of rake (IMO) and I can load my truck down without squatting it. Ride quality hasn't been sacrificed in the least bit. It actually rides much better than before. I highly recommend this product.

I'm running 1/4" top plate spacer on the regular studs. I ordered them this way because wheelers told me they are ok like that as long as you don't go bigger than 1/4". It worked out just fine.

I've dealt with Wheeler's quite a bit. Never dissatisfied, and shipping is quick because they are close to me anyway.

As an example of customer service, on the last order, I specified the OME greasable bushings for the shackles, and they accidentally sent the Wheelers version instead. They are different, and I called them and said hey, wrong item, the order clearly stated OME part.

They said send us a pic, and after you do that, we will issue you a return shipment authorization, and when we receive them, we will ship the OME part you ordered.

I said I need these in 2 days for install. How about I just buy another set of OME bushings right now and you ship today, then when I return the others, credit my credit card account. He said no prob.

Then, after talking to his boss, they said it wasn't worth the return shipping charges to them, so I can just keep the extra Wheelers bushings and nothing new will be charged or credited.

No big deal, but it indicates that they communicate responsively and work with common sense to make you happy.

I went with Cruisers, local so no shipping costs and Kurt is pretty knowledgeable when it comes to ARB products.

i have an 04 DC prerunner V6, no extra weight up front. wheelers has recommended the 883's with the 10mm enhancer kit for a better ride over the 882's to run up front...anyone else running this? if so, how do you like the ride, etc

If you have no extra weight up front and don't plan on adding any, I think 883's might be a bit stiff. I would go for the 881's or 882's, they both have the same spring rate, but a 20mm height difference.

Some lift, some armor, some scratches..
Agreed. I ran the 881s w/10mm spacer on my DC for almost 2 yrs and was very happy with the lift and ride comfort. I switched to the 883s when I added the ARB bumper and winch.
