Just thought I'd post this up. So if anyone who had forgotten what today is, let it be a reminder, to remember that day thirteen years ago.. All the lives lost then, here on our soil, and all the service men and women of ours and our allies lost since then.
Thoughts and prayers go out to them all, and the families and friends.. And thanks to all service men and women.

Our world sure has changed since.

I'm probably one of the youngest who can remember life before 9/11. Still remember that day

Life and times sure have changed since that awful day 13 years ago.....

I will always remember my Dad telling me that America will never be the same as he stood in his office at 3rd and River St and looked at what was happening across the river....

I remember it fondly. Just got into school that morning (11th grade) when it came across the intercoms to get to classrooms. We all watched for hours until school sent us home early. Everyone was very upset.

I was 8 and took the attendance to the office that morning only to find all of the administrators huddled around the small office TV. Mom came and had lunch with me at school since they shut down all of the government offices. Once all of the students who had parents who were pilots/flight attendants had made contact with them we watched Bush address the nation from Barksdale AFB which was right across the river from my school

I was in 10th grade English class. my school just had new tv's installed in every room. I remember another teacher running into our classroom and whispering into my teachers ear, then she fumbled through her desk for the tv remote. Everybody was silent, sat still glued to the tv until the automatic class bells rang.

I had just finished soccer try outs in 7th grade and got home.

Now I work for a company that lost 176 employees that day. RIP.

Not as bad as my last company who lost 358 people. The first plane hit directly on our offices and not a single person survived. At my current company 924 of over 1,000 employees managed to evacuate.

I went to Peter Sarpy elementary here in Bellevue, NE. My mom worked in the office there, and I remember sitting in her office watching CNN but not knowing what was going on (I was in kindergarden or preschool). All I remember was all my friends' parents were coming to get them and I didn't know why.

Now that I'm older, I know it's because the President was flown into Offutt AFB for a few hours that day around 1pm, less then a mile from my school. It's funny, now I work on Offutt. I also now live less then a mile to where that was. Scary, CNN was showing an arial view of Bellevue, meaning any terrorist could've been aiming for Nebraska next. I'm glad they didn't.

RIP to everyone who lost their life that day. Can't imagine what the families of those fallen men & women must feel every 9/11.

I was in 1st grade at the time. I live 50 miles south of DC, and even closer to the Pentagon, so it was a particularly scary situation in my area. I got picked up early from school, as did just about everyone at school, and came home to my family and neighbors sitting watching the news. I couldn't quite grasp how important it was.

Don't remember the day too well but I'll never forget what I saw in the weeks after the attacks. Unity. Every house, every yard had American flags up. i remember going to vigils and hearing all of the prayers and support. As young as I was, that really meant something to me. Definitely made me proud to be American. Never forget.

    Too many to list..
I had just got back into the country on 9/10..

Woke up in the morning (Just happen to have GMA on TV) something about a plane hitting the WTC.. Knew right away, that was not normal.

Watched the 2nd plane hit the building live on TV... Only to later learn that one of my co workers was on that flight... He was traveling home (LA) to visit his wife who just about to have his 2nd child.. So tragic.. He was the kindest person you could meet.. He was making his life and working hard at it..

Rest In Peace Danny! You are a true hero! I will NEVER FORGET!!
