One will be tighter or stiffer I believe to compensate for the taco lean.

Can't say for which one though.

From what I have heard here on TW the markings differ by model year and where the vehicle was assembled. Finding someone with the same model year and same colored markings is the your best bet. Its kind of a longshot though.

Mine is an 05 and has green dots on one side and tan or grey on the other.

Take a careful look to figure out which is longer/taller. The once that's longer goes on the drivers side to eliminate the lean.

from looking at those springs it looks like the green dot would be a bit softer since the winding of the coil is a bit further apart, therefore going on the passenger side and the red dot on the driver side. would you agree?

If the drivers side is actually longer, and not just thicker or wound different, you could sit them on a level surface and hold a 2-3 ft level across the highest point of each spring that should give it away.

the thickness of the coil looks the same and the height is very close the same as well really can't tell a difference. the only difference is the way they are coiled.

For what its worth, my 14 off-road has a brown and yellow dot on drivers side. Then brown and white on the passengers.
