I need help wiring a remote start
I can't seem to find the IMO and IMI wires I know they are the lt green/black and the blue/white wire on the 2ed clip on the ECM but I can't find it. Any informatin would relly help

The wiring diagram for the immobilizer bypass usually shows the various connectors including one for tacoma. Go to the website for the immobilizer and chances are you'll find a PDF file or something that shows the connector you're looking for.
It gets confusing depending if you're looking at the female or male side. Those two wires are hard to get at with all the action at the ECM. Keep looking because they are there. They are very light gauge wires. Here is the one I used and it shows the connector that you need to look for: http://www.bypasskit.com/getdocument...documentid=556 Tacoma is pins 15 (lt grn/blk) and 16 (lt blue/wht) on connector E7. The above file shows a diagram of that connector a page or two down (also read Tech Notes at bottom on file since it is about the Tacoma). I used a soldering iron to melt the insulation and then solder the wires. After that I snipped the IMI pin 16 wire. A good site is the12volt.com Thats where I went for help with my RS (Valet). |
