photo 2.jpgI thought this would never happen, but I'm parting ways with my truck. Got the bug to get an FJ Cruiser, and picked up a '14 Trail Teams "farewell edition" last week. Hope I didn't make a mistake, cause the Tacoma has been great. The good news is the impressive resale our Tacos, at least according to KBB. Guess I'll be hooked up with the FJ forum now. This has been a great forum here, and I really appreciate the info and ideas. I will post my truck below under "2nd gen. Tacomas for sale" in case anyone might be interested. It lives in North Alabama.

Can't go wrong either way. We have a 2010 FJ in our family. More capable than the taco and the resale is just as high if not slightly higher. My only complaint is the blind spots.

My only issue with the FJ too. Other then that it's a fun truck. My sister had one and I thought it was pretty cool until I try to merge into traffic and realize the huge blind spots :D

Good choice. If it weren't for the blind spots I would be driving an FJ.

Its called heritage blue, and is only in the 2014 Trail Teams Ultimate Edition. It also has white trim piece around the headlights, I guess a throwback to the old classic FJs. This is the last year for FJ Cruisers in the US, and only 2500 of this TTUE were made, so I'm hoping it may actually hold or increase in value.

Is 2014 that last year or 2015? Either way I never understood why manufactures quit building successfully machines, people continually buy.

Another example was the Honda S2000 roadster, would have still been flying off the lots today if that car was still being built. My gripe is, why not continue to build something if there is still a customer base to support it.

It blows, because there really will never be anything else like this vehicle ever made again.

I would love to trade up for a FJ, but... I need a truck and they want to much for the FJ. The FJ does better than the Taco in resale value.
Have fun with it! Drive it like you stole it!
