Thanks. It's a modest setup. I'm looking to expand what I have and get another deep freezer for strictly fermenting. And then another for chilling/serving.

    Come on, Black Friday sale!

    I'll keep that in mind.

But yeah, I'm learing via the guess and check method. Sometimes I find myself gravitating back to the same beer/brewrey, and I stop myself to try and find something new. And picking at complete random is kinda fun.

    :woot:
I've been trying to branch out from stouts and regular IPAs. They're my go to beers.

I think it turned out pretty great. Gravity is what I was looking to hit, and the yeast really works well with the style of beer. It has a slightly bitter taste at the end because of the dark grains, but it seems to work nicely with the hops. All in all, it's a great beer and I'd love to make again. Maybe cut back a little on the dark grains, but not by much.

But I'll let you know what the public thinks of it. lol.

I take my beers to competitions (non- official BJCP ones) just to see what flavors they pick up on and what I can improve about a batch. Free critique. Worst thing that could happen is they pick it and I get my beer made into 30 barrel batch.
