Just bought my truck a few weeks ago and the first thing I did was install a Bluetooth Alpine Stereo, I had never installed a stereo before or even ripped out a dash. I'm pretty proud of myself for soldering the aftermarket harness onto the stereo and running the mic wire. I was however too lazy to run it all the way across the dash and up into the headliner. So I found a place that I think is pretty suitable, I barely notice it while driving.
I want to see the creative places you mounted your BT Mic's!

Welp i got a 2nd gen but were pretty much in the same place.... i put mine at the top right side of the guages, for you it would be just above and to the right of the fuel guage. This is fartest away from the windows and about as close as possible to your mouth. Also a convienient place to lean forward if you need to...

Mine was installed on top of the plastic piece covering the A pillar. It was all installed 2 years ago and 2 months after the install the stereo was stolen so now the mic just sits there with no purpose to serve, lol. I'm looking at getting another double din though with a backup camera here soon so the mic just might be left in that spot. Not sure though cause it does get in the way of lowering the visor. I may just pull the mic out before I get the new stereo and have the installers put it somewhere else.

I actually considered that spot! But I wasn't sure if the wire would get pinched somewhere.

Just above my rear view mirror. Can barely even tell it's there with the ImMrYo rear view mirror relocation bracket.

I put mine in the same spot. It works well at picking up the passengers voice too. My coworker has his near try drivers side a pillar and cannot pick up on the passengers voice well.
